Our long suffering Agave has been loving the near tropical wet weather we have been experiencing so far this year with the first flower we have seen on it since we planted it 5 years ago. It appears very happy to be here too.
Mum, Dad, 9yo, 7yo, 5yo (all boys) [well this was back in 2011]... the boys are now [2020] 18yo, 16yo & 14yo....
Ten Feet - One Planet!
We are endeavouring to create our 2.5 acre property in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland as a self sufficient, Permaculture haven with the intention of eventually being able to 'unplug' from the grid. Why? Because we can! (well we think we can...but even if we find we can't we will have a heap of family fun on the way!).
UPDATE 2020: The 2011 & 2013 floods wiped out most of our gardens and trees and took the wind out of our sales, hence the dearth of blog posts....not to mention blazing heat waves over the last several years [climate change...what climate change...] But...since we're now in lockdown thanks to the Novel Coronavirus we're getting back into food gardens again to pass the time (and maybe give us some food if the world economy collapse...ahem)...
